What's that, you say? 5e is just about combat and number optimization? Well, I say let's really optimize this puppy.
That villainous beast, Urnmaster Melkhis Killraven, carries the Amulet of Urn-Zul, the only hope of escaping the Urn Deeps!
THE URN DEEPS is a short pamphlet dungeon for a single 5th-level 5e character, designed for competitive speedrunning. Before playing, show your player the entire pamphlet: they should know all the tricks, all the ins and outs, as if they'd been studying the proverbial wiki. PCs must be legal 5.5e characters, using only options available in official 5.5e books (currently just the PHB).
There are four categories, divided into online and off:
- RT Any%: escape the Deeps; based on real time.
- IGT Any%: escape the Deeps; based on in-game time.
- RT All Gold: acquire all gold and treasure in the dungeon, then escape the Deeps; based on real time.
- IGT All Gold: acquire all gold and treasure in the dungeon, then escape the Deeps; based on in-game time.
